An open call is made to all humanists, artisans, musicians, poets and intellectuals with an interest in 16th century Florence that we may assemble to discuss, practice and guide trends in all the arts. Arts of all kinds will be taught, displayed and evaluated. Fighters will learn techniques and theories of the time. There will be classes and performances in dance, music and theatre. Orators, poets and intellectuals of all walks will have an opportunity to present themselves.
Arts and Science entries are welcome and requested. They may be presented for display only (no documentation required), or for evaluation/commentary (documentation requested). This is not an A&S competition; however, volunteers are requested to evaluate entries.
Rewards will be given for: the best recreation of any art of ancient Greece through the lens of 16th century Florence; the most beautifully given oration, whether it be poetry, prose or treatise; and the most period 16th century Florentine garb in both design and construction.
