[ANT] Ursulmas

The Barony of Aquaterra is pleased to announce the grand event that kicks off the tourney season--Ursulmas! This will take place at the Evergreen Fairgrounds in Monroe (the usual place) on January 23-25, 2009.

This will be a large public demo, and it is a great opportunity to showcase what the SCA is to us--our Dream!

As the Minister of Arts & Sciences, I am pleased to announce several displays, demos, and contests that will be happening at this event!

Best Dressed Bear contest, hosted by the Costumer's Guild! No special theme--just bring your Medievally dressed bear!

Arts & Sciences Contest! Bring your best piece & documentation (not required, but it's worth extra points)! Please bring new items--not entered into other contests. Categories for Novice, Intermediate and Advanced, as well as a Children's category! Prizes for all four categories! **I am in need of a few judges for A&S! If you have judging experience and will be attending Ursulmas on Saturday, please email me ASAP! This is for static pieces; not for bardic entries, and we will be using the Kingdom's A&S judging forms. klostheller@verizon.net Thank you!**

Arts & Sciences Display! Don't want to enter it? Not quite finished? Bring it to display! There will be an area to display your piece for Laurel comments, too!

Hourly Demonstrations from various artisans covering a dozen or so subjects! Check with the A&S display area often!

HL Raphaella DiContini will be hosting the Apprentice/Laurel meet & greet. Are you an apprentice? Do you want to be an apprentice? Come mingle and connect with other artisans!

There will be games! There will be a costume display! There will be bardic activities! It will be great fun, and I hope to see many people participating in the activities!
