A new anthology of pre-16th century children's literature has been published by
Routledge.
Medieval Literature for Children, an Anthology, edited by Daniel Kline
of the University of Alaska, was recently published by
Routledge and covers material written for children from the 8th to 16th
centuries. The text includes translations from Latin, Old English and medieval
Welsh as well as some text in Middle English, and covers a variety of genres
from drama to fables to didactic material. Each title is introduced by a
critical essay. While the book is expensive ($95.00) it does cover material not
normally found in medieval anthologies.
