Celts in Eastern Europe

The discovery of an early Celtic village near Krakow, Poland (3rd century BCE) sheds light on the history of the Celtic peoples in Europe. The village is unique in Poland.

Archaeologists are excited about the project, which covers 10 acres and has yielded a number of finds including early Celtic huts and jewelry.

Experts believe that the Celts left the area in the 1st century BCE as part of the Germanic migration.
