Candidates Sought for SCA Chirurgeon General

Meg Baron, President of the SCA, and Friar Galen, Chirurgeon General, are seeking applicants to succeed Friar Galen when his term in office expires early in 2004. Meg Baron, President of the SCA, wrote:

The Society Chirurgeon General is the officer responsible to the President for organizing a program of volunteer first aid services and health-and-safety hazard warnings to be made available whenever feasible at Society events, and for establishing policies for and coordinating the activities of the Kingdom Chirurgeons.

Applicants for this unpaid position must be warranted SCA Chirurgeons. Membership in the Society and easy access to telephone, mail, and email are required. Applicants should be able to meet quarterly reporting deadlines in a timely manner. Some travel to large events may be required.
