EDP24 & BBC: News sources conflict on the identity of a skeleton discovered buried face down
near Mildenhall air force base in Suffolk, England.
The discovery of a skeleton buried face down during excavation of a football
pitch in Suffolk, England has led to controversy. Some sources have identified
the grave as Roman while others claim Iceni. The remains are of a man, probably
a warrior. Other graves were discovered nearby, as well as the sekeltal remains
of a horse at the site of a Roman barn, leading the BBC to conclude that the
warrior was Roman.
A Norfolk news source disagrees, beliving the burial to be Iceni in orgin.
