VNA: Thousands of artifacts dating to the 6th century have been unearthed in downtown Ha Noi,
Vietnam.
Experts working on an archaeological site in Ha Noi believe the artifacts
discovered recently are remnants of an ancient civilization. Over 3,000
objects, mostly tiles and shards of pottery, were discovered during excavation
for a new National Assembly Building. Workers earlier had discovered the
foundation of a 1,000-year-old Ly Dynasty palace.
Historians are advocating a delay in further work on the National Assembly Building or the possibility of turning the site into an outdoor museum, but government officials are still considering their options. |
