Did Norse bring Christianity to Scotland?

A team of archaeologists from the University of Nottingham are trying to determine if Vikings brought Christianity to Caithness, Scotland before Saint Columba brought the religion to Iona. (video)

The discovery of the wall of an ancient church in the village of Dunbeath has revealed evidence dating to the 6th century. Based on at the dig site, archaeologist Nan Bethune feels that more discoveries will prove that the religion came with the Norse.
