Renascence Editions -- English Publications from 1477 to 1799

An unusual web site provides a repository of selected publications printed in English from the year 1477 CE, when Caxton started printing, to 1799 CE. Renascence [sic] Editions is a volunteer-run web site loosely affiliated with the University of Oregon. The documents published on the site have been made available to the general public in order to provide readable online editions and their translations, for non-profit purposes only, according to the site's introductory page.

The site also contains a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page and a list of links for those interested in early modern English, as well as an explanation of how the site was created by its publisher and general editor, Richard Bear.
