[CAI] Queen's Champion Archery in Lyondemere

Calling all archers of the Kingdom of Caid! By the grace of the Barony of the Angels, the Barony of Lyondemere is pleased to bring you Fall Queen's Champion Archery, in honor of Kolfinna II, on Sunday November 23, 2008. This season's tournament in honor of our new Queen will be challenging. Set in a forest-like setting beside Pasadena, the Roving Range has a variety of distances to shoot. We will challenge and delight all archers with lanes that vary from 15 feet to 70 yards. We will only be shooting 4 arrows in each lane, but bring extra arrows.

In addition to the open division championship (no crossbows are allowed on-site per city law), there will also be a contest to decide the Queen's Youth Champion Archer! All youth archers are invited to come and test their skills on the range! The youth division will be shooting from shorter distances than the open division, but on the same course.

There is limited parking on site, and trailers are strongly discouraged. The parking lot is approximately 100 yards from the event site. It is a natural park, and all vehicles must be parked in parking area or on the street. Please, no pavilions will be allowed on site. Shade will be provided and there are ample shade trees throughout the range. There is limited space, and so we apologize that there will be no merchants' space.

We will be having an archers potluck for lunch. Please bring something to share with your fellow archers. The Academy of Archers meeting will be held during the lunch hour, and all authorized archers are invited to attend. There are no restaurants in close proximity of the range.

This is a roving range. It covers a large distance, with dirt paths and woody terrain, please wear appropriate footwear. Due to time constraints, there will be no authorizations the day of the event. Please make arrangements ahead of time if you wish to compete.

This is a dry site (which means, no alcohol allowed). Pets are allowed on leash.
