Mystery man claims to have found the real "Stone of Destiny"

For years, controversy has surrounded the Stone of Destiny, a relic on display in Edinburgh Castle, with skeptics insisting that the Stone was a fake. Now a "mystery man" claims to have found the real stone in a seaside cave.

Experts still believe that Edinburgh's Stone is the genuine article, but the unnamed man claims to have discovered the new stone six years ago in a "hidden cave covered by a steel plate and hidden by grass." A spokesman for Historic Scotland issued this statement: "We remain confident that all the evidence points to the fact that the stone on display at Edinburgh Castle is the same as the one held at Westminster Abbey for 700 years and the same one removed to the orders of Edward I in 1296."
