New Exhibit on Italian Manuscript Paintings Opens at the Met

"Treasures of a Lost Art: Italian Manuscript Painting of the Middle Ages and Renaissance" will be on display in the Robert Lehman Wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City from September 30, 2003, through February 1, 2004. This exhibition presents the Robert Lehman's collection of Italian manuscripts from the 13th-16th centuries, featuring the work of some of the most famous names in Italian painting, such as Duccio di Buoninsegna, Stefano da Verona, and Cosimo Tura.
