Press and Journal: The remains of a Roman marching camp as well as Stone Age artifacts dating back
6,000 years have been discovered in Scotland.
Construction workers digging at a Kintore housing site have unearthed artifacts
dating from 6,000 years old up through Roman times. Finds include a bread oven
and evidence of cremation as well as remnants of a Roman marching camp.
Archaeologists believe the site is part of a large complex, and further work on
the housing project will be delayed until the extent of the archaeological site
can be determined.
