SCA joins Midland, Michigan's Summer Solstice Stroll
Members of the Shire of Fearann na Criche in the Middle Kingdom took part recently in Midland, Michigan's Summer Solstice Stroll, a festival with a Ren Faire feel on the city's Main Street. Cathy Nelson Price of the Midland Daily News had the story.
Member Beth Albro discussed the SCA with the reporter: "We participate in these events all over the area, all the time," Albro said of the organization, which re-creates, re-enacts and teaches the history of the medieval and Renaissance periods. "We pass on the history, teaching things about the eras such as how they made weaponry." |
