Oyez, oyez! Fighters of AEthelmearc, our scouts bring word of a hoard of mercenary troops massing across the North Bridge. Their intention is not yet known, but their weapons can nott be for peaceful negotiation. Gather one and all, and help us repel these attackers back across the bridge they crossed on. And after, celebrate the glory of the day with feast and tales of battle.
The day’s activities will include the Wyntersett Guardian Tourney, a Bear-Pit Tourney, an open-field melee, and the main battle upon the bridge. Also planned, a wine & mead making demonstration, and an A&S expo, both organized by our minister of Arts and Science Vito the destroyer (Steve Genovese, firstname.lastname@example.org). So finish up those Pennsic projects and enter them in the expo.
A side-board will be available through the day and a Pot-luck Feast in the evening. If you have a favorite dish that’s easy to make, bring it along. Please make some kind of label so people know what it is. The event site is outside, but with good cover (really large pavilion). There is plenty of space for sun and rain covers. We will proceed rain or shine so please plan accordingly. Merchants are always welcome and we have a limited number of tables available, but you must provide your own covers.
We will be at the Clayton Recreation Field, (no street number) E. Line Rd., Clayton N.Y. 13624. Parking is located on Graves Street (no street number). The site opens at 9:00 am and closes at 9:00 pm. Admission fees are $7.00. Kids age 6 – 12, $3.00. Kids age 5 and under, no fee. There will be a $3.00 non-member surcharge at the gates.
