The Middle Kingdom Heraldic and Scribal Symposium will take place November 2, 2002 at the University of Dayton (Barony of Flaming Gryphon). The Middle Kingdom Heraldic and Scribal Symposium will take place November 2, 2002 at the University of Dayton (Barony of Flaming Gryphon). The symposium will feature a consulting table, display room with books and a work room to practice. The classes will be for all levels of experience. A dessert and dance revel with a Pageant of Heraldry will follow.

Heraldic classes include Awards and Orders of the Middle Kingdom, Being a Local Pursuivant, Heraldic Garb and Accouterment, Heraldic Pottery, Heralding a Royal Court, Heralds and Scribes - Working Together, How to Submit Arms in the Middle Kingdom, Maintaining an Order of Precedence, Making a Heraldic Fencing Cape, Projection and Vocal Support for Heralds, Proper Court Reporting, Sumptuary Laws of the Middle Kingdom.

Scribal classes include Basic Techniques for Advanced Results, Beginning Calligraphy, Don't Rip Up That Scroll!, Easy Celtic Knotwork, Easy Gold Leafing, Easy Ink - You Make It!", Finding Inspiration Through Sources, Making Paint from Pigments, Scroll Layout and Design, Web Research for Award Scrolls, Whitework.
