Highland River Melees, for that be its name, has Activities for all! There will be competitions in many Subjects, Armored Combat that will fatigue the Most Hearty Warrior, Dueling with Rapiers, and Target Competitions to assuage the Achings of all Hearts. Come thou, then, and take Part!

This being a Public Demonstration and Living History Display, it be humbly Requested that serious Effort be made to Show the Theme in matters of Dress, Sunshade, and all else that may teach the Public somewhat of the true 14th Century Way of Life.

Come ye, and join in with the Living History Display and Historical Martial Arts Display, organized by Mistress Livia.

Evening activities will include a Bardic Circle and Competition, Dance. Keep ye warm by the side of the fire and listen, watch, and take part if so moved.

Preregistration: All registrations received by June 7 shall be entered in a Drawing for a Fine Piece of Pottery gifted by Master Eadric the Potter.

Lunch will be provided to all who pay a site fee. Camping is free.

Site rules:
The site is Dry. Their Excellencies request that you leave your pets at home.

Merchants: All merchants must be preregistered and prepaid, then contact Eadric the Potter (Eadric@ironwoodpottery.com) with space requirements. Merchant registration will close two weeks prior to the event. No merchants will be accepted after June 1. Merchants should be prepared to cover any modern items or materials (such as blue tarps). This is a demo with large numbers of children passing through, so please be prepared to secure any weapons/breakables/inappropriate items.

Pavilions: All pavilions that will be set up on the main field must preregister with Lord Morgant (grandostino@gmail.net), giving footprint size before June 1. There may be no space for those not preregistered as space is tight! Naturally, Royal and Baronial pavilions will take precedence Up To June 1.

The Event will be held at Hagar House within the Barony, as it has in the past. Hager House is in Hagerstown City Park, 110 Key Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740

From Washington DC, take the Beltway to I-270. Follow that north to Exit 32, I-70 West. Follow I-70 west. Take Exit 32A to US40/National Pike. Turn right onto Mt. Aetna Rd, which will become Memorial Blvd. Enter the Roundabout and take the Third exit onto Key St. Follow SCA signs for parking.

From Points West Take your best route to I-68 heading east. At exit 82AB, merge onto I-70E.tpwards Hagerstown. At Exit 26, merge onto I-81 towards Harrisburg. Get off at exit 6A, Hwy 40/National Pike. Turn right onto Washington Ave., which becomes Antietam St. Turn Right onto South Walnut which becomes S. Prospect. Enter next roundabout and take the first exit on Key St. Follow SCA signs for parking.

From points North take I-81 towards Allentown/Carlisle. Take Exit 6A to Rte 40 towards Hagerstown. Turn right onto Washington Ave., which becomes Antietam St. Turn right onto S. Walnut, which becomes S. Prospect. Enter the roundabout and take the first exit to Key St. Follow SCA signs for parking.
