[OUT] May Day

description:
O hearken, most glorious Kingdom of the Outlands! The sweet siren call of Spring is upon us, and the Barony of Caer Galen requires the assistance of the Kingdom's budding lords and ladies to come to her aid in locating again the fabled Unicorn Horn. It has come to the attention of the Horn's current guardian that this marvelous and magical device has been whisked away to an otherworldly and fey castle in the sky. We need children of all ages to come and fetch it back for us. The stoutest of heart and mien will be granted the noble task of guarding our Horn for the coming year.

A Day of Spring Revelry
Featuring the Quest for the Unicorn Horn

Sunday, April 27, 2008
Roger's Grove, 220 Hover, Longmont, CO
Site open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Spring fever blossoms in our hearts as the flowers do the fields. Come to our fair Barony on this fairest of days and join us in our revelry ~ the ONLY event in the great and wide Kingdom of the Outlands for children! Dance the maypole. Dance some more in period dances for young and old. Partake of crafts, prizes, games, and most of all, a chance to behold the ethereal beauty of the Unicorn Horn. And let's not forget Puppet Court, where the Barony's nobility and visiting dignitaries are transformed into puppets!

Please bring a dish for our potluck lunch, and kindly list all ingredients for those with food allergies. This event is held at a beautiful park but the only shelter is a covered picnic pavilion. There are plenty of tables available. Grills are also available (provide your own charcoal and firestarters), and there are electrical outlets. It is suggested you bring tablecloths, and in the case of Front Range springtime weather tomfoolery, a portable propane heater if you have one. There is ample parking (49 spaces).

Site is dry.

Pets permitted on leashes (please clean up after your pets!)

Site fees:
$5 - ages 12 and up
$3 - ages 11 and below
free - babes in arms
$3 - non-member surcharge
