The 472 coins were found at a Bronze Age site near Stockholm and date to around 850 C.E. The number of foreign coins show that early Vikings had an active trade with much of the known world.

Arabic coins were recently found in a huge hoard of Viking treasure discovered recently in Sweden. The coins were part of the "largest early Viking hoard ever discovered in Sweden."
