Brass Ring Thing VIII: aka the Carrousel Museum Event
Barony of Rhydderich Hael & The Canton of Beau Fleuve
Saturday June 7, 2008

As always this is a FREE EVENT to all Sca-dians who attend in garb. The day will be full of entertainment, pageantry, arts, games, food, and tournaments in Heavy Weapons, Archery, Thrown Weapons, and Fencing. The Brass Ring Thing is proud to host the Rhydderich Hael's leg of the Inter Baronial Archery Shoot. There will be other Archery tournaments as well. Activities will run from 11 AM - 6 PM.

It is a day of grand tournaments. The tournaments at the Brass Ring Thing have a tradition of being unique. This year will be no exception. Archers, Fighters, Fencers and Throwers of Knife, Axe and Spear come prepared to spend the day enjoying your sport.

It is a day of grand art. Mistress Cori will once again host the Artisans tent where artisans from through out the known world are invited to work on projects, display to the crowd, and to visit with their fellow artists.

It is a day of great entertainment. Musicians, Dancers, Singers, Thespians, Jesters, Drummers, Jugglers and more are invited to come and share their talents. There is plenty of room whether on stage, midway or walkway for performers and we beg of you to come and entertain. We encourage all who enjoy performing to come. Dancers and drum circles are very much welcome.

It is a day to show who we are. We ask of you to bring your good spirits, pageantry and good will. There is room for banners so please show you personal and local devices. This is a day to display all that is good in the SCA to the general public. It is a chance to share our hobby and invite new people to try our activity. The Brass Ring thing is an opportunity to share the joy of our events and our activities with those that know little about us.

There are few opportunities where you get to spend a whole day involved in your activities, visiting with friends and enjoying a day with out having to be at any particular spot at any particular time, having to run to order meetings, or any number of things that can happen at most events. The Brass Ring Thing is your chance to just enjoy what you do and share it with others. With so much going on, feel to try something you have always wanted to but time did not allow. Reach out and grab the Brass Ring? you deserve it.
