They will be bringing their bagpipes and drums from all over the world performing a variety of music from Brittany, Scotland, Bulgaria, and elsewhere. The concert will be held at the Center for World Rhythms & Movement in Cincinnati, Ohio at 8pm.
Richard Kean (Ansteorra) and E.J. Jones (Atlantia) will be teaching workshops during the day featuring a class on Celtic music for melodic instruments and a master pipe class for all ages and levels.
If you enjoy bombard, biniou koz, medieval great pipes, highland pipes, small pipes, Bulgarian gaida, Spanish gaita, tupan, darbuka, or even the exotic sounds of the Tunisian mezoued, bring your favorite dancing shoes and join us for an evening of music and merriment! Opening the show will be Cincinnati's own Noyse Merchants performing early/medieval/renaissance music. Teribus and Noyse Merchants perform using many handmade instruments built by members of the groups including Medieval Great Pipes, Highland Pipes, Tupan, Baroque Guitar, Vihuela, Rebec, Orpharion, Citole, Vielle, Medieval Lute, Renaissance Lute, and Baroque Archlute.
