Once again House Serpentius and House Wilmot, under the generosity of the Barony of Bhakail and the Bailiwick of Ivyeinurst, are sponsoring a celebration of all things involved in hitting! Last year's event was such a success, we have already outgrown our site. This year's site has a much larger area for fighting, fencing and merchants! the only thing this site does not have is free parking -- the parking costs $8/day for a lot with an attendant and $5/day for a lot without an attendant, as a result, House Serpentius will cover the entire site cost. THE EVENT IS FREE!
As with last year's event, there will be Heavy Weapons, Fencing and Youth Fighting with fabulous prizes! A helm donated by Duke Ronald will once again be the prize for the Heavy Weapons tournament. Fencing prizes have yet to be purchased, but I am sure Duchess Roxane will come up with something equally marvelous!
Heavy Weapons: the lists for the both the Novice and regular tourney will open at 9:30AM with the lists closing promptly at 11 AM. The Novice Tourney will begin promptly at 1130 AM with the regular tourney to follow immediately thereafter. To qualify for the Novice Tourney, the fighter must be authorized for 2 years or less. PLEASE NOTE: NO GREAT WEAPONS WILL BE ALLOWED AS THE CEILINGS ARE TOO LOW.
Fencing: the lists for the both the Novice and regular tourney will open at 9:30AM with the lists closing promptly at 11 AM. The Novice Tourney will begin promptly at 1130 AM with the regular tourney to follow immediately thereafter. To qualify for the Novice Tourney, the fencer must be authorized for 2 years or less.
Youth Fighting will begin at 11 AM and run until the kids have worn out the marshals or the site closes (whichever comes first!). We will have some limited loaner gear available for new youth fighters as well.
Arts and Sciences: There will be an Arts and Sciences display with a populace's choice award. Works in progress are welcome!
Merchants: There is space for merchants free of charge. Please contact Duke Darius to reserve your space.
