Archaeologists explore 450 year old shipwreck off Florida

Archaeologists are studying the buried remains of a ship from a Spanish colonization fleet led by Don Tristan de Luna.

In 1559, Spaniard Don Tristan de Luna led an ill-fated attempt to start the first colony in the New World. A hurricane tragically ended the project, but archaeologists say the buried ship's hull holds a wealth of information on the failed expedition.
