Arts and Sciences at the University of Missouri

The setting was appropriate: the Arts and Sciences Building of the University of Missouri, Columbia, for an A&S symposium presented by Columbia's chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., and the MU Medieval Re-Enactment Society. Gwen Daniels of the Maneater has the story.

"If you're a craft junkie, this is your fix," said SCA member David Hansen about the day of displays, classes and workshops which featured tailoring, woodworking, illumination, and iron and pewter casting and many other crafts. "You get to ask questions and learn from masters who really know what they're doing," MRS President Miranda Hvinden said. "It’s a hands-on project day, not just talking about it."
