Viking clothing found in Pskov, Russia

Peter Beatson has published an extensive online report detailing the work of researchers E. Zubkova, O. Orfinskaya, D. Likhachev on the discovery of Viking-age textiles in three chamber graves in Pskov, Russia in 2006.

The report includes a discussion of one of the garments, a Sarafan or hanging skirt, complete with diagrams and a reconstructed pattern showing how the garment would have looked.

The textiles from Pskov dated to the 10th century.
