The Shire of Thamesreach hereby invites you all to a great Winter Feast in the Ancient City of London!

The shire of Thamesreach will be making merry in the great 15th Century church of our Lady St Ethelburga http://www.stethelburgas.org/index.htm .

A fine repast will be served to the populace followed by music and dancing.

The Venue
The church is dedicated to St Ethelburga 7th Century Abbess of Barking nunnery and sister to the Archbishop of London, Bishop Erkenwald. The foundations dates from the 1250s and the current church was built around 1411, with a turret added in the 18th Century. Bombed in the IRA bombing of 1993 it was nearly demolished by the Church of England however, after a public outcry the church was saved and rebuilt as a spiritual centre.

This site is discreetly wet.

The church is in the centre of London with good access to London��s public transport system.

By Car: This central London venue has no dedicated parking area. Some street parking is available. The London congestion charge does not apply on weekends.

By Train: The location is about 200m from the mainline train station of Liverpool Street Station. This station connects with towns in the east of England. The trains run until around 11pm (some times later) depending on the route. Check http://www.nationalrail.co.uk

By Tube: Liverpool Street Station connects with the Central, Hammersmith & City, Circle and Metropolitan lines, from Bank station you can get the DLR, Northern, Waterloo & city and District lines.

By Bus: Liverpool Street station and Bank all have a large selection of bus routes.
