Hawkwood invites its neighbors and friends to a casual day where every moment isn’t taken up with activities and every barony member isn’t tasked with 15 duties! It is my honor and privilege to announce the Eskalyan Newcomers event being held this June 27th at Ruth Arcand Park. There will be a prize tourney and group scenarios for the heavy fighters and a Baroness's Rapier Champion tourney for the more agile art of the rapier blade. (So bring a newcomer if you can find one!!!)

Now, for the first time, two of your favorite events: Fabric War and Baronial A&S Competition under the same roof. When and where you say? June 27, 2009 at the Avondale Boy's and Girl's Club.

Fabric War will be held in the gym and A&S will be held in the game room. The combining of the two events offer the best of the best and ensures a different adventure in every room.

During this 10 day event you have a lot of activities to choose from: there are heavy fighting tourneys (Nordic 1000) and three days of war, fencing, archery, arts and sciences lectures and competitions, dancing, games... And, of course, you get to enjoy the Finnish summer, sauna and socializing around the fire!

You are invited to Summer Hunt V July 24-6, 2009. Our championship is in honor of Baron Julian. The winner carries a token for the year that was created by Baroness Arianne and features on of Julian's winning medals from Archery.

The Pennsic Wars are an annual event between the East and Middle Kingdoms of the Society for Creative Anachronism Inc., and are hosted by the Kingdom of Æthelmearc at Coopers' Lake Campground.
