The Shire of Darton invites you to attend May Crown in Darton - Again! Enjoy a weekend of festivities centred around our finest fighters competing for their consorts to be the next Crown of Lochac.
Relax in our tavern on Friday night, watch the pageantry and chivalry of a crown tournament followed by a fabulous feast on the Saturday, and then on Sunday enjoy the spectacle of a rapier tourney.

Please note that the date has been set for the return of our Fencing Event, RENT-A-DON. This year, we have scheduled the event over the May 1-4, 2009 Bank Holiday weekend.
The site will open to the Populace at 6 pm on Friday, May 1st and will close at 12 pm on Monday, May 4th. Saturday will find the opportunity to learn technique and style from 3 different Dons with Sunday being available for other classes from the Populace on Rapier Related issues. This year we are honored to have with us Sir Master LOGOS, Baron AElfred of Chester, and Baron Terrance of Tyndale. Although a full description of the techniques that they will be offering is still forthcoming, rumor has it that we will see the styles of Swetnam, Fabris, and Giganti respectively from these Warders of the Middle Kingdom. Each student will have the opportunity to see a broad overview of each style and then return for the afternoon to the style of their choice to learn some of the more advanced techniques.

As the soft spring breezes drift over the coast of Atlantia, Their Majesties call forth all warriors to a glorious day of combat to determine the Heirs to Their throne. The Stronghold of Raven's Cove has the distinct honor of hosting this event and promises the populace a day filled with fighting and camraderie. Come join us on the coast at a lovely site overlooking the water where dolphins have been known to frolic and the sunsets are spectacular.

warm return and beckons all to gather with them at the Crossroads, AKA: Quint Valley Fairground, 568 US Hwy 36, Byers, CO 80103 (45 minutes East of Denver on I-70).
Steppes Warlord will be held Memorial Day weekend, May 22nd - 25th 2009. It is at Canton First Monday Trade Days Campground in Canton, Texas just off IH 20, approximately 1 hour east of Dallas, Texas.
The time has come to once again journey to the unpredictable mountains of Quincy; expect the unexpected in terms of weather as Their Highnesses host the tournament to dertermine their successors on Sunday morning.
Please join us as we follow Dante and Virgil on a journey into the underworld. We are assailed by beasts (a lion, a leopard, and a she-wolf). We fall into a "deep place where the sun is silent" -- the Inferno. We will be assaulted by wasps and hornets, wrapped in Minos tail, face the 10-eyed devil himself and angels both good and evil! All of this and more in the span of one brief day.

Saturday will be Kingdom A&S with other activities, Rattan fighting, Rapier, Archery, and the possibility of Equestrian and Hound Coursing as well. A call to arms! Roland is under siege in the mountain pass and we must come to his aid! He was sent to deliver tribute to the Saracen King in northern Spain and was attacked. He has waged a noble battle in the mountain pass and is awaiting our help. We are called by his magic horn to help defend the pass and beat back the Infidels!

The shire of Castelleone Nuovo (Helena, MT) will be hosting a regional fighter's practice at Memorial Park on Sunday, May 24, 2009. In preparation for Uprising, we will be focusing on melees, but there'll be plenty of time for one-on-one work too.
