The Shire of Two Seas would like to invite you to Hamburg, Germany for the Northern Frankmark Fighter Practice. On April 4, 2009. We will meet to endeavor in and improve those martial crafts practiced in the SCA. Heavies and fencers of all levels are welcome! Please bring whatever equipment you have as there will be slow work armored combat, sparring, and anything else a fighter could desire.

Since 1990, the Kitchener-Waterloo branch (Bryniau Tywynnog) of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) has presented a day of classes exemplifying the best of the Middle Ages. Over the years, several other groups such as the Dark Ages Recreation Company, Regia, and AEMMA have joined the SCA in making this an exciting and educational event. FITP is a non-profit event with any profit going to the local chapter of the SCA (a non-profit group). The local chapter also covers the losses in the years where FITP loses money.

Calling all Artists and Scientists to the Kingdom A&S Event in 2009, hosted by the Barony of al-Barran on Saturday, April 11, 2009. Since this is holiday weekend for some, Their Royal Majesties wish to make this a day event only. By combining two separate events into one, Kingdom Competition and Queen's Prize, this event makes a wonderful opportunity for all artisans to compete and or display their craft.

As the winter snows begin to thaw throughout these laurel lands, it is time for the denizens of our great Kingdom to consider pursuing endeavors of higher learning. The citizens of Artemisia and the Known Worlde are invited to come and learn new skills, new trades, and new arts and to share what you know with others at a combined Southern Regional Collegium to be held April 11, 2009.

Spring is here and the Barony of Rivenoak is celebrating in high style!!! We're pulling out all our tricks for a fun filled afternoon that will include, but not be limited to, some serious fighting, both hardsuit and rapier. A call goes out for all noble fighters to take part in a Heroic Tourney and vie to claim for their consort the title of "Forest Maiden".

We will do medieval things that we can all do together like games, making flower garlands and a maypole dance. In accordance with an ancient Polderslot tradition, we will also elect a May King and Queen. Come and join our celebration of spring and dance, explore the woods and be merry! We will serve a simple breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and lunch and feast on Saturday. The site has bunk beds with plastic covers. Please bring your own sheets, pillowcases and sleeping bags.

Please note that the date has been set for the return of our Fencing Event, RENT-A-DON. This year, we have scheduled the event over the May 1-4, 2009 Bank Holiday weekend.

The site will open to the Populace at 6 pm on Friday, May 1st and will close at 12 pm on Monday, May 4th. Saturday will find the opportunity to learn technique and style from 3 different Dons with Sunday being available for other classes from the Populace on Rapier Related issues. This year we are honored to have with us Sir Master LOGOS, Baron AElfred of Chester, and Baron Terrance of Tyndale. Although a full description of the techniques that they will be offering is still forthcoming, rumor has it that we will see the styles of Swetnam, Fabris, and Giganti respectively from these Warders of the Middle Kingdom. Each student will have the opportunity to see a broad overview of each style and then return for the afternoon to the style of their choice to learn some of the more advanced techniques. Location:
