The Mongols are prepared to invade Japan, and the negotiations and banquet today are an attempt to forestall the invasion. A wealthy Japanese lord has laid on an amazing day of festivities, highlighted by a feast guaranteed to delight all guests!
In honor of the attendees, the feast will feature courses of Mongol and Chinese cuisine, in addition to Japanese. Unfortunately, these important negotiations are destined to be marred by murder(s) most foul! But this is more than a stage play, and you dear friends are more than honored guests. We are counting on you to answer the age old questions “Whodunit?” and “why”? On Sunday, January 4, the day after 12th Night there will be a WAR Practice!! The war practice will be held at the DOUGLAS COUNTY Fairgrounds, located in Castle Rock, beginning at 9:00AM. And we have the site all day long, or as long as endurance and desire hold for that day.
Castle Rock is between Denver and Colorado Springs and the fairground is conveniently located just 1/2 mile off of I-25. We have an indoor site reserved and, if the weather is nice, we also have use of an outdoor area if we wish.

The holiday is a festival of the hearth and home, and a celebration of the lengthening days and the early signs of spring. While it is still winter, changes are already taking place and spring will be here soon. It is an awakening of the earth and all of its creatures. Imbolc is a festival of lights. Candles are lit at dusk on Imbolc eve and placed in every window of the house. This is symbolic of lighting the way in to the future and the coming season of spring and renewal.

As winter once again flows over the land, snow and ice engulf our kingdom. However, down in the valley, the people have gathered to celebrate Twelfth Night. Inspired by the arms of Her Highness, along with the usual Twelfth Night courts, there will be a masked ball with a blue and silver theme. As dancing many times gets lost at the end of the evening, our ball will be midafternoon, before court. For those more martially inclined, there will be fencing and fighting also available (fighters, in order to use the indoor space, we need to protect the gymnasium floor- please be prepared). And, if that was not enough to fill your day- there will always be merchants, dayboard, youth activities and, most important, socializing with friends.
