Mark Allen Mussack, an SCA member from the Barony of Atenveldt has been reported missing. He was last seen December 31, 2011 when dropped off by his wife at a Greyhound bus station in Vernal, Arizona. Mussack was traveling to Denver, Colorado.

Benefit concert to help Bethancourt family recover from fire losses

Master Ioseph of Locksley and his wife, who live in Atenveldt, recently lost their home to a house fire on April 30. They saved themselves, their pets, and his musical instruments, but lost all else. Fundraising efforts, including a May 14 benefit concert, hope to help them replace and rebuild what was lost.

SCA Member Services office acts to protect memberships for tornado-affected areas

Leslie Luther-Fulton, Executive Assistant to the Board of Directors, has announced that the SCA's Member Services office will suspend memberships for residents of those affected by the recent tornadoes in the southern U.S., to protect those members from expired memberships during the crisis.

Fire, the plague of the Current Middle Ages

As of this writing, nearly 2000 homes have burned in a 72 hour period throughout Southern California. Though the first fire started in Malibu, part of the Barony of Lyondemere, Caid, the most destruction has occurred within San Diego County, the Barony of Calafia, Caid.
