Heart of St Laurence O'Toole stolen from Dublin cathedral

Police in Dublin, Ireland are puzzled by the theft of the heart of St Laurence O'Toole, a 12th century relic housed at Christ Church Cathedral. The heart, in a wooden box, was stolen March 2, 2012 when the protective metal bars were cut.

Coronation Ordo of Kenric & Avelina, King & Queen of the East

The Coronation of TRM Kenric and Avelina, King and Queen of the East, was held on April 14, AS 46 (2012). The ceremony was an experiment in presenting as authentic a coronation as could be managed within the restraints of SCA rules and customs. The service used at the coronation of King Aethelread II in 978 was followed as closely as possible.

SCA Member Wins Fechtschule America 2012 Longsword Tournament

Rob Hunter (Lord Dietrich von Stroheim, of Atlantia) won the 2012 Franco-Belgian Guild Rules Invitational Longsword Tournament, sponsored by Fechtschule America. The tournament was held in Houston, Texas, starting on March 16th.
