Estrella War XXIV: Important merchant deadlines

Duchess Katerina O'Callaghan reminds everyone that important deadlines for merchants for the upcoming Estrella War XXIV are rapidly approaching.

Sir Berengar of Nancy won Lochac's November Crown tounament, meeting Sir Kane in the final on Saturday the 10th of November, A.S. 42. Fighting for Mistress Bethan, Sir Berengar chivalrously fought his way through all contenders.

"Harrogate Hoard" wows archaeologists

"The most important Viking find in Britain in 150 years" has just been discovered in a Yorkshire field. Among the over 8,500 objects found was a rare silver gilt cup, one of only two in existence.

First AOA for aviculture awarded to guild founder

After seventeen years of service to the dream, Aisin-gioro Biya was awarded arms for her work in aviculture by King Andreas and Queen Gabriella at Warrior's Naadam, Silver Horde's 10th anniversery celebration held in Ostgardr, East Kingdom. Given Biya's own Jurchen shaman persona, the setting for her award couldn't have been more appropriate.

Beowulf for Children

Ivhon Thorne has created an a website for online discussions about topics of interest to the SCA. SCA-Forums offers a centralized site for SCA information and a place to ask SCA-related questions.

Atlantia Fall 2007 Crown Tourney photos online

Antonio Felluci reports that he has posted an album of sixty photos from the recent Fall 2007 Crown Tourney in the Kingdom of Atlantia.

The Nina tours the southern U.S.

The Nina, "the Most Historically Accurate Replica of a Columbus Ship Ever Built," will be touring the southern United States during November and December 2007. Tours are available.

Sinclair and Kari new Prince and Princess of Atlantia

Theresa of Caid reports that Randall Sinclair was the victor of the recent Crown Tournament in the Kingdom of Atlantia. He was inspired by Kari Kyst.

Elizabeth Margarete of the Principality of Cynagua in the West Kingdom is coordinating an effort to send care packages to those serving in the Armed Services in the Middle East.

At Coronation on November 3, 2007, Their Royal Majesties of Atenveldt, Morgan and Livia, asked Lady Cécile de Brétigny for the answer to the question They had posed to her a week earlier: whether she would accept elevation to the Order of the Laurel from Their hands. Cécile accepted and was inducted into the Order.
