Windsor Ontario reporter discovers the Current Middle Ages

Reporter Roberta Pennington of the Windsor Star visited an SCA event in the Middle Kingdom region of Pentamere, and returned with tales of spinning, calligraphy....and war.

Arts and Combat Featured in Northshield Demo

Can a fighter accomplish a cartwheel in full armor? Well... maybe. Mike Prahl gave it a try in 40 pounds of plate as he demonstrated his skill along with other members of the Shire of Rivenwood Tower in Mankato, Minnesota. Free Press reporter Sara Gilbert Frederick had the story.

New Laurel and Pelican in Drachenwald

At Kingdom University in Drachenwald this last weekend, Lady Stella Seraphina von Leuchtenberg was elevated to the Order of the Laurel (for her cooking arts) and Lord George Fitzhume was elevated to the Order of the Pelican by King Michael and Queen Moira.

Performers shine at Midrealm Bardic Madness

At the upcoming Twelfth Night/Coronation celebration in the Kingdom of the West, Viscountess Elisabeth Renee de Champagne will be elevated by Their Majesties Rolf and Aurora to the Order of the Pelican. The elevation will take place January 6, 2007.
