On the 15th of October, come help us welcome potential new members of the SCA with the most seductive fun we can possibly manage! For the day's (and evening's) entertainment, we have reserved the beautiful, medieval Marstall and castle grounds in the historic old city of Steinheim (Hanau).

Their Highnesses, Alvar and Megan, invite the populace to a week-end of Chivalry and Honor as the Principality of the Cynagua holds its Fall Coronet Tourney. The Coronet Tournament is a festive and grand occasion; Their Highnesses encourage all fighters and consorts to bring banners to add to the pageantry and splendor accompanying the lists to find to determine Their Highnesses' successors.

As it has been a very 6 months for our Barony, this years Collegium is a one-day affair with such wonderous classes and information that is worthy of skills of Innilgard's artisans. We also invite all good gentles of Lochac to come, learn and enjoy! It is also hoped that there will be rapier and heavy fighting classes held in the hall's grounds. As always, the collegium is in garb.

1550s Spain: Christopher Columbus may have been the first to journey to the New World, but these days it seems every explorer worth his salt is either looking for or holding letters of marque to carry them to a place called the Americas. They have high hopes of bringing back riches and glory. Ponte Alto wishes to commend Spain for its vision to sponsor the first voyage to this wondrous new land. Therefore, we have planned a day of Feasting and Celebration in honor of Spain and the intrepid explorers who followed Columbus' lead.

The Barony of Wealdsmere invites you to a day of Tournaments and Feasting. We will be holding our annual Toys for Tots Championships. These include a heavy and fencing tourney, as well as an A&S, Bardic and Games competition. The cost to enter any of the tourneys or contests is a new, unwrapped toy. Also, anyone who is not entering a contest may feel free to donate!

The Shire of Two Seas is honoured to host Drachenwald's Twelfth Night Coronation in A.S. XL. This weekend of celebration and merriment will be held at the "Proitzer Muehle", an old watermill these days used as a seminar centre.

Come join with the populace of the Shire of Herons Reach in celebrating yet another year's moss harvest. Though the summer drought has slowed the amount of harvest, the quality is superb. Saturday, October 22nd, a potluck feast will be held to commemorate the Day of St. Hedwig, the patron saint of moss gatherers.

As we all know, the plans for The Rumble On The River had to be postponed for a while due to the effects of Hurricane Katrina. However, it takes more than a storm to stop a 30 year old tradition. So, while the storm has put off the war with the good folks from the Barony of Three Rivers until a later date, The Barony of Grey Niche will celebrate Samhain 2005 with a picnic in the park, blood drive, and fundraising tournament.
