Join us in a symposium dedicated to period cooking, period cooking techniques, period cooking texts, feast stewarding, and other medieval cooking topics. There will be classes all day long, a key note speech over lunch, and a chance to show off your cooking skills during the potluck dinner that evening.

Hear Ye Hear Ye As the Echoes of Summer Fade We are Rolling out the Welcome Mat of Colored Leaves, and Welcoming you to the Shire of Hrafnafjordr where we will be holding a Harvest Colligium attended by her Highness Prinzessin Elisa on Saturday and Sunday Nov 1st & 2nd at the Kenaitize Elder Center in Kenai, Alaska (1000 Mission Ave.)
We will have classes both days, and at this time some of the classes available will be Period Dance (taught by Her Highness), Metal Smithing, History of Period Illumination, Silk Ribbon Rose Making, Round and Flat Braid Kumihimo Braiding, Viking Wire Knitting, On Hands Cooking Class Making Period Stuffing, and a Special Bread Pudding, Team Amazing Brain Games, Beginning games like Mancala, Backgammon, Cribbage, and a few others to be announced, Small Wood Breakdown Table, History of the Roman Coliseum Games. Depending on schedules we will possibly have Period Shoes Working From Your Last to Leather, and Naalbinding, The Making of Miniature Trebuchets, and then a Marshmallow Fight to see how they work, and Chain Maille From Scratch.

The theme is that of the Grand Tournament, with valiant warriors selected by the Royal Ladies to champion their honor and reputation. The warriors of Northshield, both armored and rapier, will demonstrate their prowess to all whom attend. Matching livery is encouraged, as is your finest garb.

On the Day of St Francis, there will be a Fair and Tournament in the fair Shire of Polderslot. Since our shire is rich in offspring (ages 1- 12) our event will be fun for all ages. The aim is to do medieval things that we can all do together, and that are as interesting for the adults as for the children, like decorating your own badge with (safe) medieval paint, learning a new dance or helping to prepare feast.

The Canton of Skorragarðr Hosts Axeman V November 14 - 16, 2008 at the Will Rogers Scout Reservation, Cleveland, Oklahoma
The day will offer fun and merriment to all peoples of Ansteorra and many questions will be answered on this day. Who will be The Axeman of Skorragarðr? Who will be our next Rapier Champion? There will be a grand archery competition to determine the next Archer of Skorragarðr, as well as, as thrown weapons championship. In the grand feast hall, there will be an Arts and Science competition and after the sun kisses the horizon we will gather round the fire to determine our Titled Skald.

Oyez! Oyez! As we settle into the months of the Fall Harvest, Their Excellencies Darmon and Sabine invite all citizens of Bhakail, and its neighbors to come out and demonstrate the fruits of their labors in Heavy Combat, Fencing, and Brewing!
The site will be the Community Masonic Lodge in Broomall, PA (directions below), where we've got on-site and street parking, as well as outdoor space for the marshal activities and an indoor hall for the brewing championship and potluck dayboard!

Crown Tournament, by which Artemisia's line of succession is determined, shall be held at the Cache County Fairgrounds in Logan, Utah, on October 11, 2008, hosted by the Shire of Cote du Ciel.
This is a beautiful site that has a feast hall and kitchen, a manicured green area for fighting, an outdoor covered barbecue area, bathrooms, and a large indoor hall that can be used for running multiple erics simultaneously in the case of inclement weather. There are numerous trees on site, and the area is both spacious and relatively secluded.
