Madness in the form of battle fever has once again descended upon the Barony of Endless Hills! On May 30 - June 1, the Barony invites all to join us as Melee Madness returns with the classic Warlord tourney and five man melee team combat with broken field fighting. Enjoy a day of martial activities in preparation for Pennsic. If enough fighters arrive Friday evening there may be a torchlight tourney. Participants in the Warlord tourney are asked to bring something for submission to the Warlord chest. Location:

War is over! (at least for another year) As our fighters make their way home and slowly nurse their wounds and heal their aches; consorts, family and friends entertain themselves with various projects of the arts and sciences nature. On Wednesday March 26 at 7:30PM, the Canton of Petrea Thule will be hosting a lecture and discussion on Lycanthropy in the Middle Ages as presented by Mr. Derek Newman-Stille, MA who is the Senior Tutor of Otonabee and Traill Colleges of Trent University.
His talk will include
the characteristics of lycanthropy in literature of the middle ages
along with how werewolves are described in literature and depicted in

Since 1990, the Kitchener-Waterloo branch (Bryniau Tywynnog) of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) has presented a day of classes exemplifying the best of the Middle Ages. Over the years, several other groups such as the Dark Ages Recreation Company, Regia, and AEMMA have joined the SCA in making this an exciting and educational event. FITP is a non-profit event with any profit going to the local chapter of the SCA (a non-profit group). The local chapter also covers the losses in the years where FITP loses money. Location:

From 29 August to 1 September 2008, there will be a metal and glassworkers gathering. Three Rivers is sponsoring three full days of hands-on classes and demos, ranging from blacksmithing and knife-making to repousse to coin-stamping to pewter-casting to stained glass... My list goes on and on!
This will be predominantly an outdoor event, with plenty of camping space
available. There will also be a large barn on site, with poured concrete
