A chill is in the air, and the leaves have turned. The harvest is being taken and the bounty of the land lends to celebration. This means that winter comes soon. But even in the bleak midwinter, there is cause for celebration.
Their Excellencies Sir Gregor and Lady Monika invite one and all to
celebrate the Midwinter with them in their Barony of al-Barran upon
the Feast of Saint Valentine. There will be classes in the morning,

Don't forget the Hobby Horse Crusade, second Saturday of December, Ainslie, ACT (Politarchopolis). $15 members, $18 non-members, $5 kids 8-16, and if you book as a family before the end of November, one adult gets in for the kids' price.
Although it's aimed at being kid-friendly, it's not kids-only. We're
focusing on entertainment, so it's a good one to bring newcomers to, or
maybe just a good light-weight fun event without politics and pain, if

Imagine the scene: 150 or more gentles garbed in soft wools and linens. Banners and pennons fly gently in the breeze that stirs the firs. Nearby is a coffee house, where stories of past renown and future conquest are spun, while spindles twirl a more tangible yarn. To one side, knights and nobles practice the arts martial, while consorts discuss bruise remedies. Flocks of charming children run errands when not playing on the lush green grass. A short walk away there is singing beside the waterhole and splashing in the cool deep waters. A hedgehog snuffles idly by.

Greetings from Baroness Elizabeth Rae, Heather Buchanan, of Canton des Forges. I am writing to you as the A&S coordinator for Diverse Pleasures IV. The event is a one day event, January 27, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Birmingham.
This year, the event will be a little different. In addition to
classes, there will be an A&S display area. What we have envisioned
is an area set up for people to display their entries and to spend

The leaves have turned to glorious hues and have fallen to the ground. Man and beast alike have gathered food in preparation for winter. Soon, the land will be lulled into sleep. As the world outside gets colder, we gather by the fire to spend our short winter days and long winter nights along friends and family. During the day, we will cheer on our warriors while they test their mettle on the tourney field or show their prowess with the bow. Atlantia's artisans will also be showing their talent and skill in the arts and sciences. When the day grows short and the air grows colder, we will gather inside to enjoy a sumptuous feast and an array of entertainment.
