Camelot has come and gone and only the land remains. Enter the forest of the Green Knight if you dare to find the Lord and Lady Winter who can break the season's icy snare. Amidst snow drifts and trees capped with white crowns an archer's, bard's, and warrior's challenge can be found. Prove you are a "Man of Green" to end this wintry scene. Come to Ardanroe for Winter Wonders and feast under the ancient limbs and starry sky, or stay at home, and frozen tears cry. The frozen darkness of the Forest of the Green Knight beckons. Where does your courage lie? Hear the Bards after feast Saturday night. Location:
Shire of Ardanroe (Lake Bistineau State Park, Louisiana)

Are you going to be missing something to do on January 13? No more college football and you just can't get into the Wide World of Televised Bowling and Darts (although those trick bowlers are REALLY amazing!)?
Then make the short trip out to hopefully play in the snow at Viking Vinter
Vunderland! This is the only event in the Outlands daring enough to be held
OUTSIDE in January! But, you say, "that must be horribly cold?!" Fear not,

On behalf of the Incipient Shire of Drakenmere, we would like to extend a special invitation to all performing artists in Meridies to attend Jour d'Amour (Weekend of January 26-28) at Indian Springs State Park in Jackson, GA. The theme of the event is the "Venetian Carnivale," and thus we wanted to have a special emphasis on performing arts. We have arranged most of the day in the main hall to be set up solely for performing arts (Poetic Oration, European Dance, Middle Eastern Dance, Instrumentals, and Vocal Performance--if you have a question about where your performance might fit in, contact us, and we'll work something out). Kingdom Twelfth Night and Yule are over and now you can put all seriousness aside and join us for the silliness of a "reverse court" and the wonders of a "backwards feast". Foolishness you say? But of course, welcome to Fool's Twelfth Night!
Fun and merriment abound at our foolish festivities. Enter into a realm
where the garb is motley (painfully so), the games and gambling are for fun
and prizes, the most foolish soul sits the throne and dessert, of course, is

The time is 1471 in England... In honor of the Feast Day of Saint Aldobrandini, the Barony of Ponte Alto is holding a passage of arms that exemplifies chivalric love and honour, both on and off the field, as can be found in the ballads and tourneys of the 15th century, including King Rene of Anjou's Book of Love and The Book of the Tourney.
Let all knights, barons, lords, squires and men at arms of the baronies of

Wild is the winter, but waiting is worse;
How far afield are my folk?
I seek sturdy strikes of sword upon shield,
Let them exhaust their excellent power
Odin's hall boasts less bounty than that
I want for the word-hoard wielded by skalds
That honor the hardiest heroes.

As winter continues to tighten its grip on the mountain ranges of Gryphon's Lair, we gather together to end the season of winter festivities, and share good wishes with our friends and companions. Gryphon's Lair opens it gates once again to share its wealth and bounty at a joyous Twelfth Night celebration on January 6.
We will endeavor to explore and experience the varied traditions surrounding this close of the winter season. As all Twelfth Night celebrations must, there will be games, singing, story telling and, of course, for the children. In addition to some fighting fun for the heavy fighter, Terra Sylva will be hosting a Rose Tournament for the Duelists. A Lord and Lady of Misrule will be found amongst the populace to help guide and encourage the fun. Although the Baronial Arts & Sciences Champion will have been newly chosen, Baroness Bianca continues to encourage all artisans to come share their works at an Arts & Sciences display.

Welcome to Rome, 1497. As you admire the wondrous art and high culture of this, the finest of cities, be sure to watch your back. Intrigue is at its height as noble families vie for prominence. Even the mightiest houses are rocked with scandal. Lucrezia Borgia has accused her husband, Giovanni Sforza, of impotence and is filing for a divorce. In retaliation, Giovanni claims that his young bride has indulged in incestuous affairs with both her brother and her father! But beware of whom you share gossip with. Spies are everywhere in the courts, and the assassin's blade is ever ready to avenge a perceived slight. Location:
