Health and safety classes at Pennsic 40

Master Andreas de Caunteton, Kingdom Chirurgeon for the Kingdom of Atlantia, reports that a special track of health and safety classes will again be available at Pennsic War XL.

Scottish folklore collection available online

For the first time, the complete folklore collection of Alexander Carmichael has been published and is available to view online. Carmichael "spent 50 years collecting legends, songs, curses and oral history from Gaelic-speakers."

Bayeux celebrates founding of Normandy

This will be a big year for the town of Bayeux in Normandy, France, when it celebrates the 1100th birthday of the French province of Normandy. The town's 25th annual Medieval Fair will take place July 1-3, 2011, and will celebrate all things Norman.
