Here’s our annual horse event.  It will be a little more low-key than last year, having had lots of wet weather and an attack of life on the part of some key group members.

Combatants and consorts for Northshield Spring 2011 Crown Tournament announced

Their Majesties Morgan and Lusche of the Kingdom of Northshield have announced the list of combatants and their consorts for the upcoming Crown Tournament which will take place May 14, 2011 in the Shire of Korsväg  (Fargo, North Dakota).

Hawkwood invites its neighbors and friends to a casual day where every moment isn't taken up with activities and every barony member isn't tasked with 15 duties!

Benefit concert to help Bethancourt family recover from fire losses

Master Ioseph of Locksley and his wife, who live in Atenveldt, recently lost their home to a house fire on April 30. They saved themselves, their pets, and his musical instruments, but lost all else. Fundraising efforts, including a May 14 benefit concert, hope to help them replace and rebuild what was lost.

Final flight of the Endeavour to carry Mary Rose artifact

John Lippiett, chief executive of the Mary Rose Trust, is sending a piece of history into space: "a parrel, a three-inch wooden ball used as part of the mechanism to hoist the sails of Henry VIII's flagship." The artifact will be launched into orbit with the space shuttle Endeavour. (photos)

Robert Marston to be elevated in AEthelmearc

THLord Brandubh Donnghaile, Silver Buccle Herald for the Kingdom of AEthelmearc, reports that at Their recent Coronation Their Majesties Christopher and Morgen placed THLord Robert Marston on vigil to contemplate elevation to the Order of the Pelican.

Lusoria Rhenana set to sail in Germany

A group of Roman history enthusiasts in Germany have constructed a replica of a Roman military riverboat. The Lusoria Rhenana is scheduled to take her maiden voyage in the summer of 2011 near Woerth-am-Rhein.

SCA Archivist seeks historical material

Baroness Jocosa d'Auxerre, Chronicler of the Kingdom of Meridies, reports that Society Archivist, Master Aldred von Lechsend aus Froschheim, is seeking historical material for inclusion in the Archive.
