SCA featured on the Mini-Page

The July 4-10, 2009 issue of the popular newspaper insert for children, The Mini Page, looks at interesting facts about the Middle Ages, and uses members of the SCA to illustrate them. The photos included in the issue were taken at Pennsic.

Grant will fund dig at Cumbrian abbey

Officials at English Heritage Lottery have announced that the Holm Cultram Abbey in Abbeytown, England has received a grant for UK£48,000 to carry out an extensive at the Cistercian abbey.

Frau Anna Syveken reports that she has posted photos taken at the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremburg relating to 15th century costuming.

CuCullin the Bald and Eithne Ruad to be new Baron and Baroness of Small Grey Bear

Their Royal Majesties Loric and Diana of the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann have announced that CuCullin the Bald and Eithne Ruad will be the next Baron and Baroness of the Barony of Small Grey Bear.
