This year's theme is "A Day in the Life" (and no, we didn't think twice about it). We'll have out usual assortment of Heavy Waepons and Rapier Fighting, plus an assortment of classes to hopefully please one and all.
Our A&S Theme is "Everyday Life in the Middle Ages" Documentation is
required and entries will be judged using Kingdom A&S Rules. Please, NO
Alcoholic entries since this is a Dry Site.

Come, one and all, to the fair lands of Arrow's Flight to relax, be silly and enjoy each others company for Mystery Event.
It will be held at the American Fork Senior Center, 54 South Main, American Fork, UT on March 29, 2008. The festivities will begin at 10:00 am and continue throughout the day and into the night. The day will boast heavy and rapier fighting, both tournament and melee. It will also host Youth Combat tournaments, as well as many Youth Activities. Several Arts & Sciences classes will be taught by the many talented people of the area. During feast, we will be entertained by the gifted musicians and story tellers of these fair lands. Between the songs and stories, we will have the modeling and populous voting for our annual Bad Garb Contest. Our enjoyment of the day will commence with a delicious feast, prepared by Lord Ramon de Javier. The menu is as follows, with a brief description for those with dietary concerns.

“BEWARE THE IDE’s OF APRIL for if YOU still wield the sword of the Palatine Baron of the Far West thou shalt perish!” THUS SETH THE GODS! Hearing this, and having sated his blood lust at Estrella, Baron Vail wisely laid aside his sword and decided to hold an Arts and Sciences Coronet Tournament on the 12th of April to select his replacement.
All Far West artisans are invited to compete for the coronet by entering their 5 best creations finished within the borders of the Far West using quill, brush, needle, etc. etc. anything but swords. ALL ARTISANS are invited to apply immediately to enter this tournament to Baron Vail and Baroness Marixsa at FWCoronet@yahoo.com.

This is truly an event with something for almost everyone. In honor of the Barony's long tradition of hosting quality educational specialty events (including Musicians' Day, Northshield Dance Seminar, Bardic Madness, To Play With Fire, War College, and Medieval Religions Symposium), there will be an educational collegium at the event.
There will also be tournaments for armored and rapier combatants, a dance ball in the afternoon (so it will not fall off the schedule), a delicious feast in the evening, and plenty of fun and fellowship.

Archaeologists are excited about the discovery of rare Anglo-Saxon grace markers in the walls of Peterborough Cathedral. The markers, which are believed to date from the 11th century, were discovered during restoration work to the cathedral.

Saturday, March 22, 2008, was a time of mixed feelings in the Barony of Stierbach in Atlantia. The populace were saddened by the stepping down of beloved Baron Colum and Baroness Briana, but they were elated at the elevation of the new Baronage, Their Excellencies, Flathri and Rhonwen.

The Shire of Earnrokke's own Lord Giraldus Evienece was awarded the Lion et de la Lance, a Grant level Equestrian award of An Tir at the Youth Allthing February 23, 2008 in the Shire of Midhaven. Giraldus is now the youngest recipient of a Grant Level award for the Equestrian Arts in An Tir and perhaps in the Known World.

It is Summer on our lovely island, and we are graced by the beauty of the land and its creatures.
Listen to the hounds bay and the horns sound in the distance! Watch the hunters ride their horses across the fields. Archers, come shoot to your heart's content. This is an event for folks to sit back, feast, shoot archery, and be entertained by the animals. Campers are welcome to stay all three days of the weekend.

Plans to exhume the body of Renaissance scientist Galileo Galilei in order to test his DNA and establish the cause of his blindness have caused problems with the Catholic Church. The Rector of the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Florence, where Galileo is buried, is opposed to the exhumation.

Madness in the form of battle fever has once again descended upon the Barony of Endless Hills! On May 30 - June 1, the Barony invites all to join us as Melee Madness returns with the classic Warlord tourney and five man melee team combat with broken field fighting. Enjoy a day of martial activities in preparation for Pennsic. If enough fighters arrive Friday evening there may be a torchlight tourney. Participants in the Warlord tourney are asked to bring something for submission to the Warlord chest.

War is over! (at least for another year) As our fighters make their way home and slowly nurse their wounds and heal their aches; consorts, family and friends entertain themselves with various projects of the arts and sciences nature. Many days (and nights) have been filled with spinning and weaving, hammering and polishing, scribing and painting, boiling and baking, stitching and b-----ing? (blush)

hosting a lecture and discussion on Lycanthropy in the Middle Ages
presented by Mr. Derek Newman-Stille, MA who is the Senior Tutor of
Otonabee and Traill Colleges of Trent University.
His talk will include
the characteristics of lycanthropy in literature of the middle ages
along with how werewolves are described in literature and depicted in
Canton of Petrea Thule (Peterborough, Ontario)
