Ed the Tinker is having a shoe-making workshop Sunday, 17 Feb 2008 12:00-5:00. Cost of the workshop is $30 for each pair of shoes you make. This covers the cost for all materials and supplies. Required tools will be provided. (Although if you happen to have your own, bring them).

Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna Exhibits "Arcimboldo"

Workers on a construction site in Bhubaneswar, India have discovered the remains of a 9th century Buddhist monastery. Villagers have requested the preservation of the site.

United States Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff has announced the Department's intention to change requirements for crossing the border between the U.S. and Canada. American and Canadian citizens will no longer be allowed to just declare their citizenship.
