The Shire of Port Oasis invites all lovers and fighters to the 12th Annual Tournament of the White Hart, February 22 -24, 2008, at the Cabell County 4-H Camp (6040 Booten Creek Road, Barboursville, WV, 25504).
The event will feature the traditional heavy weapons tournament emphasizing love and chivalry. Other activities of the day will include fencing, an Arts and Sciences competition, archery, children's activities, and more. The event will open at 6 p.m. on Friday and close at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

A new exhibit at the Museum of the Diocletian Baths in Rome lets visitors take a virtual walk down the Via Flaminia, a major travel artery which was "built in the third century B.C.E. to connect Rome to Ariminum, today's Rimini, on the Adriatic sea."

Alex Salmond, Scotland's First Minister, has expressed a grievance over the continued absence of the Lewis Chessmen from Scotland. The chessmen, ivory pieces carved sometime during the 11th century, are housed in various museums in England.
