Come help the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands celebrate the festival of Carnivale in the high Venetian style. The day will feature quests, games, music, merriment and dance culminating in a grand masked ball in the evening.
All this for our guest of honor Signora Tomasia da Collivento as she sits vigil to contemplate elevation to the most noble Order of the Laurel. The Barony of Thescorre is pleased to announce The College of Three Ravens to be held on February 23, 2008, at the Western Presbyterian Church, 101 East Main Street, Palmyra, NY (phone: 315-597-9171). The hall opens at 9 AM and closes at 9 PM. The site is very dry, non-smoking & all flames must be enclosed. The site is not handicapped accessible.

The SCA Inc. seeks applicants for the position of Chief Technical Officer, for a three-year term beginning April 15, 2008. This is a part-time volunteer position requiring technical leadership and a commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per week plus availability for emergencies. The CTO is a direct deputy to the Society Seneschal and Vice President of Operations, and reports indirectly to the Board of Directors by way of an Ombudsman.

For all of those who have been wondering about Otherhill Candlemas, wonder no more. Master Thomas duBeaumont wishes all to know the Shire of Otherhill, Artemisia's oldest shire, will celebrate the feast of Candlemas on February 2nd being 2008 of the common reckoning.
As is common for this celebration of the season, yearly contracts will be renegotiated and annual salaries will be paid.

For Many years the Legendary Treasure of The Marseilles Pirates has eluded many an explorer. Finally the day has come and the key to finding the treasure has been discovered. Fighters arm yourselves for a MIGHTY QUEST!!!
Armored fighters and Rapier Fighters will work together; First, to Get into the Town to Discover the Treasure Map, then to determine what creatures they will be fighting and Traversing the ?Maze? to get to the Treasure. Finally the teams will face off against each other to battle out who will win the right to the Prize.

This year will be themed on the Crusades that happened between 1095 and 1291. There will be classes, fighting and more all based around the Crusades. The event will also be a Tournament of Chivalry.
