The Shire of Sunderoak is honored to have been chosen to be your hosts as AEthelmearc celebrates its 10th anniversary as a Kingdom. Let all lords, ladies, barons and nobles of AEthelmearc and all other kingdoms know that the event will be held June 14-17, 2007 at Cooper's Lake Campground (205 Currie Road, Slippery Rock, PA 16057).
Fees will be as follows:
Adults - 3 nights $25; 2 nights $20; 1 night $15.

As the cold winter has put nature to sleep, Yuletide brings forth the promise of days growing bigger and the grass awakening from its deep slumber. All and all a perfect time to come and rejoice with the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands on its celebration of the Twelfth Night! Their Excellencies, Alonzio and Tatyana will hold their Baronial Court and her Excellency will also choose her Bardic Champion. There will be performances from the Debatable Choir, the Debatable Consort and I Genisii, dancing, a pillow fight (which has now become a 12th night tradition!), an A&S display (run by THL Odriana vander Brugghe, email at email@example.com
) with a Yule theme, a fencing tournament, children activities, our Silent Auction and much more to be scheduled!

For the first time in its 522 year history, the Tower of London will enlist a female Beefeater. The name of the new Yeoman Warder has not been made public, but she was chosen from a group of six applicants, five men and one woman, as the "best candidate for the job."

Several years ago Midrealm subject and machinist Ben Scheiner learned he would need armor to take part in SCA fighting in the Barony of the Fenix. Now he has parlayed the hobby and his flair of metalworking into a fulltime job as an armorer. The Cincinnati Enquirer has the story.

Mark your calendars now for the very first 48-hour sleepover Bardic Madness! Come all ye bards and bardic fans for an event full of noncompetitive challenges, classes, and bardic fun! Bardic Madness celebrates the bardic arts: poetry, song, story, and more. Watch the event website for a list of challenges and classes.

Come enter the tourney run by Don Jean-Paul Justen Casse and Doña Marion del Oakes, which will decide the next King's and Queen's rapier champions.
There will be space for League of Rapier Academies challenges.
There will be space for pick-up bouts for everyone including those who
haven't authorized yet. Loaner gear will be available.

Ves Heill!!! Welcome to the Dark Ages, Rome has retreated from mainland Europe, the Germanic and Celtic tribes are finally freed from the yoke of Roman suppression it is the time of the Sagas! Come to the Citadel of the Southern Pass and help us celebrate 12th Night the final night of Christmas. Saturday : We will begin the day with a team tourney, a chance to practice your WAR! Skills, each team will consist of three fighters, so bring your two best buds and test your mettle! The Prize for the heavy list is rattan, 3, 9ft staves for 1st Place and 3, 36 inch sword length pieces for 2nd. Rapier tourney will run the same way to help fighters prepare for WAR!
