Collegium Cantorum to present concerts in D.C. area

Collegium Cantorum, a musical group which "specializes in 'large forms for small choirs' and draws most of its repertory from the masterworks of medieval and Renaissance Europe" will present a pair of concerts in the Washington, D.C. area November 3-4, 2007.

Modern technology may help to locate "Lost Colony"

Russian archaeologists have discovered 75 graves dating from the 15th to 18th centuries C.E. in Veliki Novgorod. The experts hope that more tombs will be found.

The city of Leicester in England offers an interactive map that allows visitors to explore different aspects of the historical city by clicking on landmarks on the map. The map includes access to the Roman Centre, Medieval Centre, Castle and Newark Liberty and the Modern Centre.

A new book by French journalist Marcel Gay claims to prove that Joan of Arc was a French royal who did not die on the stake but was rescued by the English.

No blood was spilled during the swordplay at a recent event held by the Barony of Ponte Alto in Prince William Forest Park, Falls Church, Virginia, despite a pronouncement by the Queen of Atlantia. Dan Zak of the Washington Post has the story.

Duchess Katerina O'Callaghan, Acting Kingdom Media Officer for the Kingdom of Atenveldt, has announced that the four principal kingdoms involved in the Estrella War XXIV have signed the Estrella War Treaty.

Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna Exhibits "The Late Titian and the Sensuality of Painting"

Soon a new exhibition will be on display at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. The Late Titian and the Sensuality of Painting begins at October 18, 2007 and runs until January 6, 2008.

Medieval Baebes live in concert

TSivia reports that the Medieval Baebes, a London-based, female vocal group with a "reputation of reviving ancient text and song and turning historical fantasy into reality for the pleasure of modern audiences" will be performing in the Columbus, Ohio area October 13-14, 2007.
