Medieval times in Madison

Medieval life is alive and well at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the form of the local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism and the Belegarth Medieval Combat Society. Maisie Ramsay of the Capitol Times reports.

Welcome one and all for ALL the fighting you can stand! Fight those elusive Knights you've heard about but haven't met. Show them how well you handle your sword, and learn well how to take a hit. Armor inspection starts at 8:45 am and ends at 9:45 am sharp. There will be a squire and men-at-arms list, double elimination. LIST STARTS AT 10:15

Afterwards there will be a training session with the Knights and fighters- one on one until you are too tired to do anything but sit down to a good feast and relax. Speaking of feasts...come enjoy a fighters meal! With enough grub to give you a belly full! Location:
