Quest for the Summer Sun

I would like to welcome everyone to join the Barony of Windhaven in our Quest for the Summer Sun being held June 1st through June 3rd on the manor lands of Lord Gonsalvo de Silva in beautiful Kewaunee County, just 1/2 mile south of the Door County border. Site opens at Noon on Friday, June 1st and closes at 4 pm on Sunday, June 3rd.

This is a rustic site -- porta pottys and potable water provided, but no electricity. We will have FREE ICE available on site! Responsibly wet site. Camp fires allowed. FREE firewood available (please don't bring any). Shade flies recommended. Dogs allowed if owners agree to clean up poo. Saturday evening's feast provided by House Blackstone. Location:

Meridian SCAdians to help with Chamber of Commerce Renaissance Faire

Karen Middleton of the Athens, Alabama News-Courier reports on the planned activities of the fifth annual Ardmore (Tennessee) Renaissance Faire. The event is scheduled for April 21-22, 2007 and will feature participation by the Huntsville, Alabama chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism.

Easter Island archaeologists conclude statues are petrified peeps

Archaeologists working at Easter Island have determined that the large statues are not volcanic rock, as once believed, but are, in fact, petrified peeps. Says project head Rock Newton, "Yes, we have verified that the statues are actually petrified Easter candy."
